Why Us?

Jericho Writers has been in the business of helping writers for more than a dozen years.

We’ve helped thousands of writers get started in writing or make huge improvements to their existing work. Hundreds of our clients – all of them writers like you – have gone on to get agents and get published, or self-publish with huge success.

The secret of our success – and yours – is simple. Jericho Writers was founded by writers, for writers. We know what it takes to write a book and make it succeed and we are here to pass that knowledge on to you. Read more about our founder, Harry Bingham, or meet our team.

Your empathy with the new writer shines through

A breath of fresh air! Once I finish a module, I immediately turn to my manuscript and attempt to review what I have written, and more often than not, alter it. Above all, it is your empathy with the new writer that shines through – you succeed in making us think that we can pull off what so often seems unachievable. Each module commands attention and retains it. I truly believe that with [the] help [of this course], I have a chance of turning things around.

David Ward

Hugely inspiring – an excellent way to focus my ideas

The biggest plus point of the course is that it is almost entirely focused on practical application: in other words, it encourages and inspires the user to make extremely constructive improvements to their work. . . I found the course hugely inspiring and was often pausing the videos to spend time working on ideas that had sprung up as part of taking this course. It has been an excellent way to focus my ideas and turn them into something, which I hope, is now on the edge of being publishable.

Nathan Munn

It’s given me the confidence and inspiration to continue

I really enjoyed the course. It made the material more accessible than just reading a how-to guide, and makes the writing process a little less lonely. I found the section on editing your work in the final video extremely useful, as this is something that I have struggled to get my head around on my own. Overall, the video series has given me the confidence and inspiration to continue on my own. I trust the advice of the Writers’ Workshop and know that I can and will seek further advice from here in the future. Thank you.

A wealth of material that I can imagine returning to again and again

What a privilege to preview this course! It includes a wealth of material that I can imagine returning to again and again. I particularly liked how many of the topics included three tutorials ranging from beginners/intermediate techniques (e.g. ‘write good prose’) to more advanced (e.g. ‘write magical prose’). I have very much enjoyed exploring the course during the last few weeks and look forward to revisiting a number of the video tutorials in more detail over the coming months. Thank you so much.
